Full Text

An error was made in the publication of Anthurium mapiriense Croat (Croat et al., 2011) in that the epithet mapiriense was already in use, namely A. mapiriense K. Krause (Krause, 1910), although as what proved to be a synonym of another valid species, A. lechlerianum Schott in sect. Digitinervium. Since the name A. mapiriense has already been used a new name is being published here to replace A. mapiriense Croat. The new name is Anthurium chequitavense Croat which is named for the type locality near the town of Chequitavo in Junin Department, Satipo Province in Peru.
