SUMMARY
Stem rising upwards, up to 60 cm long, internodes short, 3 - 5 cm long. Cataphylls linear, soon decomposing into fibres. LEAVES: Petiole slender, canaliculate adaxially, 35 - 45 cm long, 5 - 7 mm thick, somewhat attenuated upwards, geniculum ca. 1.5 cm long, moderately thickened. Leaf blade coriaceous-herbaceous, hastate-trilobed, 30 cm long, or more and [lobes] subequal, posterior lobes patent, oblong, rounded, a little recurved, 5 - 6 cm wide, anterior lobe obovate-lanceolate, shortly acuminate at the apex, narrowed towards the base, basal ribs strongly diverging and separated by a very obtuse sinus, long-denuded, lateral veins many, distinctly prominent on both surfaces, curved and ascending from the midrib, joined into a slender collective vein a little distant from the margin. INFLORESCENCES: Peduncle slender, 20 - 30 cm long. Spathe linear-lanceolate, acuminate at the apex, somewhat decurrent at the base, 6 - 7 cm long, 7 - 8 mm wide. Spadix with a slender stipe ca. 1.5 cm long, narrowly cylindric, rounded-obtuse at the apex, gently curved, ca. 10 cm long, 5 - 7 mm thick, somewhat attenuated upwards. Tepals oblong. Stamen filaments sublinear. Ovary broadly ovoid, narrowed into a short, conoid style.
