Internodes 0.2-13.9 (-19.5) cm long, 0.2-1.6 cm wide, green to gray-green or brownish, drying yellowish brown to chocolate-brown and finely to coarsely sulcate; roots usually absent from distal nodes, to ca. 1.0 mm in diameter and few when present. LEAVES: Petiole (5.2-) 6.4-16.7 (-18.3) cm long, P/L=0.41-0.81 (-0.98), the sheath erect-spreading to horizontally spreading or somewhat revolute, adnate or with the free portion prolonged by 0.2-1.3 mm; unsheathed portion of petiole 0.05-0.40 (-0.60) cm long. Lamina (11.0-) 12.1-22.6 (-26.3) cm long, (2.0-) 2.8-11.1 (-16.2) cm wide, L/W=(1.37-) 1.65-5.71 (-6.90), IQI=0-7 (-8), thinly coriaceous to subcoriaceous, semiglossy to glossy above, weakly glossy to semiglossy below, concolorous to slightly bicolored, very narrowly to broadly lanceolate or oblanceolate to narrowly or broadly elliptical or ovate (broadest below to near or somewhat above the middle), abruptly to gradually short- to long-acuminate apically [the acumen ca. (0.8-) 0.9-2.4 cm long], narrowly or broadly cuneate to truncate, rounded or subcordate basally; midrib sunken above, sometimes slightly paler, convex and paler below; primary lateral veins 5-7 (-10) per side, 0.4-3.2 (-3.4) cm apart; minor veins visible below and darker; abaxial laminar surface drying virtually smooth to (rarely) moderately low-granular, with the reticulate veins visible, especially near the margins; white stitching obscure to (usually) prominently visible along the resin canals; resin canals weakly to moderately visible; adaxial surface virtually smooth to moderately low-granular or sometimes alveolate, with the reticulate veins visible, at least distally, but not abundant; white stitching absent or very rare and scattered to moderately frequent; resin canals not evident. INFLORESCENCES solitary; cataphylls absent; peduncle 1.3-3.2 cm long, P/S=0.13-0.26, with conspicuously raised, short lineations (at least in fruit); spathe at anthesis 8.4-15.3 cm long, 1.2-3.7 cm wide, externally pale green below, cream distally, with conspicuously raised short lineations at base in fruit, internally uniformly cream-white; spathe drying virtually smooth to moderately or densely granular and often somewhat rugulose externally, with white stitching obscure to abundant and reticulate veins sometimes conspicuous, internally virtually smooth to obscurely roughened or moderately granular, with longitudinal secretory striations to at least ¾ to apex; acumen of spathe 0.5-1.5 (-2.1) cm long. Stipe of spadix 0.2-0.5 cm long; spadix (6.7-) 7.9-14.1 cm long, the fertile male portion 0.7-1.2 cm wide, cream-white or white; sterile male zone 0.5-0.8 (-1.1) cm long; female portion of spadix (1.7-) 2.2-3.7 (-4.2) cm long (to 8.5+ cm in fruit), F/S=0.22-0.39, (0.6-) 0.7-1.5 cm wide (to 3.1+ cm in fruit), light green or yellowish green; fertile male flowers 1.4- 2.0 mm long, 0.5-2.1 mm wide, irregularly polygonal to somewhat lenticular; sterile male flowers 1.6-2.5 mm long, 0.8-2.6 mm wide, irregularly polygonal, columnar; female flowers 1.5-2.6 mm long, 0.7-1.1 (-1.6) mm wide, the stylar canals 3-4 (-5).
