SUMMARY
Stem scandent, rooting at the nodes, internodes 20-25 cm long. LEAVES: Petiole terete, sheathed at the base for 1/3 the length, 25 cm long, 1.5 cm thick at base, attenuate towards the apex; Blade membranous, tripartite, middle segment elliptic, 22 cm long, 11 cm wide, cuspidate acuminate, primary lateral veins 2-3 on each side, erect-spreading; lateral segments 18 cm long, 7 cm wide, incurved, unequal-sided, outer side 4 cm wide, inner side 3 cm wide, apex attenuate, obtuse, separated by a rounded sinus; posterior ribs not denuded, primary lateral veins on the inner side 1-2, 4 ascending on the outer side. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle 7 cm long, 1 cm thick: Spathe thick, slightly constricted oblong-ovate, cuspidate, externally green, internally pale yellow, basally purple. Spadix stipitate, female zone thick, female zone thick, cylindric, 3 cm long, 2 cm thick, green, male zone elongate-conoid, yellowish-white, sterile zone 1 cm long, fertile zone 6 cm long, 1 cm wide, attenuating towards the apex. Pistils oblong, 4 mm long, stigma discoid, 4-locular, ovules biseriate almost up to the apex of the locules, male flowers triandrous.
