SUMMARY
Epiphytic or epilithic herb, up to 80 cm tall. Stem erect, internodes 0.6-0.8 x 1.5-4 cm, cataphylls persisting as a frame of fibers, but remaining intact. Petiole 32-41 x 0.5-0.7 cm, essentially U-shaped, deeply sulcate adaxially. Leaves 30-42 x 29-44 cm, rounded in outline, palmatic-compound subcoriaceous, folioles 5-13, oblanceolate to obovate, 11-16 x 5.2-7.5 cm, acute to obtuse at base, acuminate at apex, sometimes undulate at margins, tertiary nerves 9-11 per side, arising at an angle of 50-70°. Inflorescence erect to spreading, peduncle 6-9.3 x 0.6-1.2 cm, spathe lanceolate 8-11 x 2-3.4 cm, green tinged with purplish, spadix grayish green, 9-14.5 x 2-4.4 cm, tapering. Flowers 2-4 x 2-4 mm square. Berries purple, 0.8-1 x 0.4-0.5 cm.
