SUMMARY
Stems small, climbing, internodes 7 - 8 cm long, nearly 2 cm thick. Cataphylls rigid and longer than internodes. LEAVES: Petiole broadly sheathed at base, longer than blade, ca. 60 cm long. Blade oblong-ovate, cordate, shortly acuminate, ca. 45 cm long, 30 cm wide, posterior lobes semiovate, retrorse, 8 cm long, 15 cm ("1.5 cm") wide, 4 - 5 times shorter than anterior lobe, separated by a narrowly acute sinus, basal primary lateral veins on each side 4, curved and running into margin, the two innermost joining with the veins of the midrib into a collective vein near the margin. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle shorter than petiole, ca. 25 cm long. Spathe broadly lanceolate, acuminate, 12 cm long, 2.5 cm wide. Spadix with 1 cm long stipe, 9 cm long, 1.5 cm thick, cylindric, obtuse. Tepals 3 mm long, 1.5 mm wide. Stamens linear, 3 mm long. Pistil elongate-conoid, 5 - 6 mm long, 2 mm thick, exserted beyond the tepals.
