SUMMARY
Stems small, climbing, ca. 3 cm thick, internodes 2 - 3 cm long. Cataphylls nearly 20 cm long, broadly lanceolate. LEAVES: Petiole ca. 35 cm long, 1 cm thick basally, more-or-less terete, often sulcate, geniculum rather long. Blade very thick, somewhat glossy adaxially, dull abaxially, elongate-sagittate, ca. 40 cm long, 20 - 30 cm wide, anterior lobe oblong-triangular, posterior lobes ca. three times shorter than anterior, separated by a wide sinus, strongly incurved and overlapping, primary lateral veins and secondaries of the basal part of the blade strongly prominent and sharply angled abaxially, primary lateral veins of the anterior lobe ca. 9 - 12 and with the basal interlobe veins ascending at an angle of ca. 40 deg., 1 -2 cm apart, joining into a collective vein 3 - 5 mm from the margin; basal interlobe vein patent, primary lateral veins of the posterior lobes 6 - 7, turning down and strongly curved, joined into basal ribs diverging at an angle of 150 deg., denuded [in the sinus] for 3 - 4 mm, turning upwards near the margin and running out into the margin. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle more-or-less terete, 50 cm long. Spathe broadly lanceolate, acuminate, ca. 11 cm long, 3.5 cm wide. Spadix with stipe 1.5 - 3 cm long, when first exposed 12 cm long, 1.5 cm thick, when mature 25 cm long, 3 cm thick. Tepals of spadix when first exposed 3mm long, 1.5 mm wide. Stamens 4 mm long, 1 mm wide, narrowly linear, exserted beyond tepals. Pistil oblong-conoid, 4 mm long, 2 mm thick basally.
