SUMMARY
Stem climbing, thick, internodes 4 cm long, 2.5 cm thick. Cataphylls rigid, persistent, up to 20 cm long or more. LEAVES: Petiole longer than blade, sheath 6 - 7 cm long, with geniculum 1.5 cm long and 1 cm thick. Leaf blade cordate, ca. 50 cm long, 30 cm wide, anterior lobe with a 2 cm long acumen, posterior lobes semi-ovate, three times shorter than anterior lobe. Separated by a campaniform sinus, gradually running into the anterior lobe by a curved outline, basal primary lateral veins 6 on each side, three retrorse and strongly curved and one patent and then turning upwards and running into the margin, one slightly curved and ascending, and the other nearly straight and joining with the midrib primary lateral veins into a collective vein ca. 4 mm distant from the margin. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle elongate, 1 cm thick. Spathe oblong-lanceolate, with an acumen 2 cm long, 15 cm long, 4 cm wide basally. Spadix with a stipe 2 cm long and 1 cm thick, 11 cm long, 1.5 cm thick basally.
