Anthurium sodiroanum (Araceae)
Epiphyte or terrestrial. Stem rooting, 1.5 - 2 cm thick, internodes 5 - 6 cm long. Cataphylls herbaceous, 5 - 6 cm long. LEAVES: Petiole subterete, ca. 15 cm long. Blade subcoriaceous, broadly lanceolate, base somewhat obtuse, acuminate, 40 cm long, 10 - 12 cm wide; primary lateral veins numerous, 1 - 1.5 cm apart, strongly prominent on lower surface, ascending at 40 - 50 deg. [to midrib], joined into a collective vein 6 - 8 mm from margin, the lowermost running into margin, secondary lateral veins and minor veins prominent. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle 20 cm long. Spathe 10 cm long, 1.5 cm wide at base, broadly linear, acuminate. Spadix cylindric 9 cm long, 6 mm thick, green. Tepals barely 1.5 mm wide and long. Ovary 1.5 mm long, shortly ovoid.
