Anthurium regnellianum (Araceae)
Stem abbreviated, cataphylls persistent, 2 - 5 cm long. LEAVES: Petiole slender (almost terete?), almost as long as blade or a little shorter, 13 - 15 cm long. Blade thin, oblong, base obtuse or sometimes very slightly emarginate, 13 - 15 cm long, 5 - 6 cm wide, gradually narrowed towards apex by a gently curving line, acute, narrowly apiculate, primary lateral veins on each side 2 at the base, the lowermost soon running into the margin, the other ascending, at nearly 1 cm distance from margin, joining up with 6 - 7 veins arising from the midrib. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle as long as petiole or shorter, 10 - 15 cm long. Spathe lanceolate, clasping at the base, eventually reflexed, 3.5 cm long, 7 - 8 mm wide at the base. Spadix slender, cylindroid, with 3 mm long short stipe, 4 cm long, 3 mm thick. INFRUCTESCENCE: Berries subglobose, becoming green, 2-seeded.
