SUMMARY
Stems [caudiculi] shortly scandent, internodes 3 - 5 cm long, 1 cm thick. Cataphylls linear-lanceolate, persistent for a long time, 6 - 7 cm long, 5 - 6 mm wide. LEAVES: Petiole rounded dorsally, upper surface deeply canaliculated more than half as long as blade, ca. 15 - 17 cm ("1.5 - 1.7 cm") long, 4 mm thick, geniculum 1.5 cm long, canaliculate above. Blade subcoriaceous, dark green, oblong-lanceolate, narrowing equally and acute at both ends, apex shortly apiculate, 25 - 35 cm long, 5 - 10 cm wide, primary lateral veins 1 - 2 cm apart, joined into a collective vein 5 - 7 mm from margin in lower and middle region, and 2 - 3 mm from margin in upper region. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle longer than petiole. Spathe linear, ca. 5 cm long, 1 cm wide, with 5 mm long narrow acumen. Spadix sessile, slender, 4 - 5 mm thick, longer than spathe, ca. 8 cm long. Tepals wider than long, ca. 2 mm wide, 1.5 mm long. Ovary shortly ovoid.
