General description:
Rhizomatous plant, internodes close (5-10 mm), petioles of different lengths. Model architecture of ‘Arum’ type (model of Chamberlain). Petiole thorny or smooth, 20-60 cm long; LEAF sagittate, 15-40 cm long, of which posterior lobes 10-25 cm long. Peduncle thorny or smooth, 15-30 cm long; SPATHE 4-8 cm, green, sometimes covered with dimples towards the base of the spathe, not very acuminate; spadix: male flowers greenish white, sterile flowers present in some individuals (Grabo); female flowers stigmas broad, discoid, ovary globose.
