Nephthytis poissonii var. poissonii (Araceae)
LEAVES 1-2, with petiole, 30-100 cm long, 1-5 mm thick when dry; leaf blade sagittate to sometimes hastate, the outside shape usually forming an equilateral triangle, often separated into posterior lobes by a slight constriction, apex obtuse, acute to acuminate, acumen up to 1.5 cm; 4-5 pairs of primary lateral veins, attenuating, ± regularly joined together by a collective vein; at the base of the blade, 1 pair running obliquely and anastomosing towards the edge; very attenuate network of secondary veins and of veinlets; posterior lobes 9-24 x 7-12 cm, oblong to obovate, extremities acuminate, acumen 1-2.5cm. INFLORESCENCE with 1 to several peduncles, generally longer than half the length of the petiole or almost the same length, 25-100 cm, spadix 1.5-6 cm, always stipitate, stipe 0.5-2 cm; female flowers reduced to 1-4 whorls, rarely more.
Anterior lobe not seperate from the posterior lobes by a constriction.
