Philodendron angustialatum Engl.
SUMMARY
Scandent, internodes up to 10 cm long, 0.8-1.0 cm thick. LEAVES: Petioles, 10 cm long, shortly sheathed, the rest of the margin narrowly winged; blade herbaceous ('herbacea')[yellowish green?] panduriform, and base truncate, slightly incurved in the anterior part, becoming oblong-lanceolate acuminate. 25-30 cm long, lower part 4 cm wide, upper third 6-7 cm wide, primary lateral veins ca. 9 on each side, ascending at ca. 45º, not strong, secondary veins slender, dense numerous. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncles several, 3-4 cm long. Cataphylls 5-6 cm long, 1 cm wide. Spathe white, oblong apiculate, 5 cm long, convolute, 5-6 mm in diam. Spadix pink, obtuse, supported on a stipe 6 mm long, female inflorescence 1.5 cm long, 5 mm thick, male nearly 3 cm long, thickening upwards, 6 mm thick at the middle. Pistils cylindroid, 5-locular, somewhat constricted beneath the broad discoid stigma.; Ovules solitary, ascending from the base. Male flowers usually triandrous. Stamens broadly prismatic, thecae broadly ovate, obtuse on both ends. Staminodes prismatic, somewhat hexagonal.
