Philodendron ecordatum Schott
SUMMARY
Stem terete, slender, internodes 15-20 cm long, 4-5 cm thick. Cataphylls soon deciduous. LEAVES: Petiole slender flat on the upper surface, 5-6 cm long, basal sheath 2-3 wide; Blade yellow-green ('herbacea'), ovate or rarely rounded-ovate, base truncate-rounded, apex abruptly lanceolate-cuspidate for 1 cm, 8-10 cm long and almost equally wide, primary lateral veins 1-2 on each side from the base, 2-3 from the midrib, spreading at about 45º, somewhat stronger than the secondary veins. INFRUCTESCENCE: Berries minute, fleshy; seeds minute, very numerous, almost minutely pitted.
