Philodendron inconcinnum Schott
SUMMARY
Stem scandent. LEAVES: Petiole slender, canaliculate on the upper surface towards the base, 15-20 cm long, 3-3.5 cm thick; Blade thinly coriaceous, oblong-elliptic rarely oblong, apex lanceolate-cuspidate, base abruptly truncate-rounded rarely very slightly cordate-repand, 18-25 cm long, 8-10 cm wide, 6-8 primary lateral veinsspreading from the midrib at an obtuse angle, ascending arcuately towards the margin. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle ca. 10 cm long, 1-1.2 cm thick. Spathe green suboblong, measuring 12-15 cm. Spadix slender, cylindroid, subacute, with an oblique, 5 mm long stipe. Female zone greenish, 3-4 cm or up to 6 cm long in fruit, male zone white 5-6 cm long, 7-8 mm thick. Pistil oblong, barely measuring 2 mm, usually trilocular, stigma small, orbicular. Male flowers tetrandrous. INFRUCTESCENCE: Berries yellowish, shortly cylindroid, 4-5 mm long, 2-2.5 mm thick; seeds oblong, 2 mm long, very smooth, funicle short, affixed at the base of the locule.
