Epiphytic or terrestrial; internodes up to 4 cm long, 1-3 cm diam.; cataphylls coriaceous, grayish-brown, 6-11 cm long, deciduous. LEAVES erect; petiole 20-55 cm x?2-8 mm, terete; geniculum 1.2-2.0 cm x?3-5 mm, drying conspicuously darker than petiole; blades deeply trilobed to 3.0-5.5 cm from the base, subcoriaceous, 19-42 x?[10-20]23-44 cm, dark green and weakly lustrous-velvety above, much paler and matte below, drying medium to dark gray, densely covered with raphides above, base cuneate; central lobe oblanceolate, 15-34 x [5-]8-17 cm, 3-6 cm across at base, apex cuspidate for up to 1.5 cm; midrib raised above, rounded, sunken toward the apex, raised below, angled; primary lateral veins 5-7(-8) per side, straight, sunken above, raised below, departing midrib at 25-40°; tertiary veins prominulous; collective veins arising from one of the lowermost pairs of primary lateral veins, 5-12 mm from the margin, sunken above, raised below; lateral lobes falcate [spreading], 40-60°[-90°] from central lobe, 16-31x?(3.5-)8.5-17.0 cm, apex narrowly rounded, inner margin straight to weakly concave, outer margin convex; basal veins 4-5 pairs, the first pair joined for up to 1.5 cm, the rest up to 5.5 cm; posterior ribs straight, 65-70°(-90°) from midrib, naked for up to 2 cm. INFLORESCENCE spreading; peduncle (9-)13-28 cm x?2-6 mm, usually shorter than petiole; spathe green, lanceolate, spreading, 8.5-12.0 x 1.5-1.8 cm, apex long-acuminate, base cordate; spadix sessile, green (tinged red), cylindric to weakly tapered, (4.0-)6.5-17.0 cm long, 4-8 mm diam. at base, 3-5 mm diam. at apex; 4-6 flowers per principal spiral, 4-lobed, ca. 2.5 x?2.6 mm, sides weakly sigmoid; tepals matte to semiglossy, lateral tepals ca. 1.4 mm wide, inner margin rounded, outer margin angled; stamens exserted; anthers ca. 0.50 x?0.65 mm, thecae ovate-elliptic, slightly divaricate; pistils weakly emergent; stigma round, ca. 0.6 mm across.
