SUMMARY
Stem high scandent. LEAVES: Petiole subsuccose, ca. 15 cm long, 1 cm thick. Blade thinly coriaceous, narrowly oblong-lanceolate, apex acute with a somewhat oblique, 1.8-2.2 cm long acumen, gradually narrowing from the upper quarter or fifth towards the base, the base itself rounded-obtuse, 38-40 cm long including the acumen, up to 9 cm wide, primary lateral veins numerous emerging from the robust midrib at an obtuse angle, ascending arcuately near the margin. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle elongate, 10-12 cm long, ca. 8 mm thick. Spathe narrowly oblong, shortly acuminate at the apex, 12-13 cm long, convolute, 2-2.5 cm in diameter. Spadix with a short oblique stipe; female zone cylindric, 4-5 cm long, 1.2-1.5 cm thick, male zone narrowly claviform, subacute, 6-7 cm long, 1 cm thick in the lower part, attenuating upwards. Pistils prismatic, 2.5-3 mm long, almost 2 mm wide, with a small rounded stigma, 4-6-locular, locules uniovulate. Male flowers 3-4-androus.
