Philodendron rigidifolium subsp. sanctae-ritae (Araceae)
Rigidly scandent hemiepiphyte or liana, the flowering branches pendent and arching out from tree. LEAVES: Petiole (17.8-) 22.1-27.7 cm long, P/L=0.71-0.88; unsheathed portion (1.3-) 2.6-5.4 cm long. Lamina (23.3-) 26.6-33.9 cm long, (15.7-) 17.7-22.2 cm wide, L/W=1.42-1.55, cordate basally, with the sinus to at least 2.9 cm deep; abaxial laminar surface with abundant and prominulous reticulate veins; short, white stitching ± abundant; resin canals not visible, but dark, presumably resiniferous punctations abundant and more or less conspicuous. Known from just three collections, from essentially the same site on Santa Rita Ridge, eastern Colon Province, Panama.
