Philodendron tenuipes Engl.
SUMMARY
Stem scandent, terete, robust, upper internodes 2-3 cm long. Cataphylls soon disintegrating into long fibers, covering the internodes. LEAVES: Petiole slender 28-32 cm long, rounded dorsally, flattened above, shortly and narrowly sheathed at the base. Blade thinly coriaceous, elongate-oblong, subequally narrowed at both ends, apex shortly acuminate, the base rather obtuse, 32-36 cm long, 12-13 cm wide, primary lateral veins ca. 20 usually obtusely angled, emerging from the midrib, running somewhat arcuately towards the margin. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle... Spathe suboblong, measuring ca. 10 cm. Spadix cylindroid, sub acute, ca. 8 cm long, 8 mm thick. Pistils elongate-cylindric, 1.5 mm long, 4-locular, stigma small, rounded. Stamens prismatic, 1 1/2 times longer than wide.
