Arum italicum subsp. neglectum (F.Towns.) Prime
SUMMARY
LEAVES of two distinct types. Winter leaves ovate-hastate, spring leaves sagittate-hastate, both with short, slightly divergent or overlapping posterior lobes, deep green, rarely with small, jagged purple-black spots. Petiole brownish purple. Peduncle brownish purple. Spathe -limb pale greenish-white with brownish purple staining externally along the margins and mid-vein. Spathe-tube often stained internally with brownish purple in the upper half. Staminodes in 2 or 3 whorls, bases slightly verrucate. Plant beginning growth in early winter.
