SUMMARY
Stems slender, erect, up to 100 cm long, 3 cm thick, internodes 2 – 3 cm long. Cataphylls lanceolate, rigid, somewhat thickened, up to 20 cm long, 3 cm wide. INFLORESCENCE: Petiole nearly twice as long as blade, equalling ca. 50 cm, geniculum ca. 3 cm long, blade coriaceous, pale green, broadly cordate-ovate, shortly acuminate, ca. 30 cm long, 25 cm wide, posterior lobes semi-orbicular, 3.5 times shorter than anterior lobe, 8 cm long, 12 cm wide, primary lateral veins of the anterior lobe on both sides 4 arising from the midrib, somewhat arcuate, joined with the basal one into a collective vein remote from the margin, patent interlobe vein and the 4 veins of the posterior lobes arching not far from the margin and running out into the margin. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle shorter than the petiole, ca. 40 cm long. Spathe lanceolate, acuminate, milky white, 10 – 12 cm long, 2 cm wide. Spadix with a stipe 1 cm long, ca. 9 cm long, 9 mm thick, cylindric, obtuse. Tepals ca. 2 mm long and wide. Pistil (juvenile) 2.5 mm long.
