SUMMARY
Geophyte, seasonally dormant herb. Stem tuberous, subglobose, 3 x 4-5 cm. Prophylls 5-17 x 1-2.5 cm, pinkish to grayish. Petiole 32-56.5 x 0.5-1 cm, marbled. Leaf blade pinnatisect, 21-40 x 15-30 cm. Anterior division pinnatisect, 13-20 x 13-29 cm, lateral lobes 3-5, oblique, acuminate at apex, posterior divisions 8-10 x 15-30 cm, pinnatisect, 2-3 basiscopic lobes, 2-3 acroscopic lobes. Inflorescence erect at anthesis, pendulous after. Peduncle 10-21 x 0.3-5 cm. Spathe lanceolate, 7-8 x 1.5-6 cm, marbled, acute to acuminate at apex. Spadix cream-colored, terete, 5-7 x 0.3-0.5 cm, male portion 3-5 x 0.3-0.5 cm, female portion 2-2.5 x 0.4 cm. Synandria subsessile, 3-4-androus, female flowers with connate and papillate staminodia, stigma subsessile, 3-4-lobed with bifurcate lobes, ovary 3-5-locular, locules 1-ovuled. Berries yellowish, cream-colored or white, speckled in crimson, 0.3-0.5 x 0.4-1 cm. Seed ovoid, cream-colored, speckled in crimson, ca. 4 x 2 mm.
