SUMMARY
Geophytic herb, stem tuberous, 0.5-1 x 1.3-2 cm. Petioles cylindric, 9-40 x 0.2-0.4 cm, green, sheathed to 1/3 to 2/3 length of the petiole, leaf blade oblong to ovate, 4.5-25 x 3.5-17 cm, base symmetric to completely oblique, truncate to hastate-trilobed, secondary nerves 2-5 per side, arising at an angle of 40-90°, converging or not in a collective vein, apex cuspidate to acuminate. Inflorescence solitary or in pairs, erect at anthesis and pending at fruiting. Peduncle 5-45 x 0.1-0.3 cm. Spathe green, oblong to elliptic, 2.4-11 x 0.4-1.4 cm, acute, oblique, apex cuspidate to acuminate. Spadix completely adnate to the spathe, 1.8-6 x 0.3-0.5 cm long. Synandria 3-4-androus, filaments 2-3 mm long, thecae yellow, connective slightly 3-4-lobed. Female flowers surrounded by fungiform staminodes, 1-1.2 x 0.5 mm, stigma discoid, style inconspicuous, ovary obconical. Fruit 3-7 x 2-4 mm. Seed smooth, wide-ovate, 2-6 x 1-3 mm.
