SUMMARY
Epiphyte. LEAVES: Petiole subterete, canaliculate adaxially, equalling the blade or overtopping, 4-5 dm [40 - 50 cm] long; blades cartilaginous, intensely green above, paler below, broadly oblong-lanceolate, three times longer than wide, about 5 dm [50 cm] long, 1.8-2 dm [18 - 20 cm] wide, extended (or tapered) out of lower third downward into the cordate base and upward in a mildly convex line into the apex, long-acuminate; basal lobes very short, obtuse; sinus broad; primary lateral basal veins, 3 coalesced on the way to the base, the 2 outermost arcuate-ascending, merging (or stopping) in the margin, a third, together with the 18-20 pairs of costal veins spreading at a 90 degree angle arcuate-ascending coalescing in a submarginal collective vein. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle 3.5-4 dm [35 - 40 cm] long, slender; spathe linear-lanceolate, papery, long-decurrent adaxially, gradually narrowed at the apex; spadix subsessile, thinly cylindrical, purple.
