SUMMARY
Epiphyte and terrestrial; stem thick; internodes shortened; cataphylls 5-10 cm long, 7-8 mm wide, persisting. LEAVES: Petiole 1.5-2.5 dm [15 - 25 cm] long, semiterete, sulcate above; geniculum 1.5 cm long; blades coriaceous, elongate-triangular-lanceolate, cordate at the base, long-acuminate, 2-3.5 dm [20 - 35 cm] long, 5-7 cm wide at the base; posterior lobes 1.5-2.5 cm long, subtriangular, obtuse or semiorbicular; primary lateral veins of the anterior lobe few and basal [veins] joined in a collective vein a little way from the margin; basal veins 2-3 decidedly curved, merging in the margin. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle slender, 3-5 dm [30 - 50 cm] long; spathe linear-lanceolate, very long acuminate, not at all decurrent, about 1 dm long, 1 cm wide; spadix 1-2 dm [10 - 20 cm] long, 3-4 mm diam., stipitate 1-3 cm, gradually finely tapered; tepals scarcely 1 mm long, 1.5 mm wide; ovary 1 mm long and thick, somewhat globose, crowned with a sessile stigma.
