SUMMARY
Stem scandent, to 4 dm [40 cm] long; Internodes short; Cataphylls weathered fibrously. LEAVES: Petiole short, broadly canaliculate, 5.5 cm long, briefly geniculate (or geniculum short); Blades subcoriaceous, bright green, oblanceolate, briefly acuminate, 2.5 dm [25 cm] long, 6 cm wide above, 2 cm wide at base, narrowed cuneately from the upper third toward the obtuse base; lateral veins numerous, spreading at a 90 degree angle, coalesced in a collective vein a little away from the margin. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle slender, shorter than leaves, 1.7 dm [17 cm] long; Spathe linear, acuminate, 4 cm long, 5 mm wide, yellow-green; Spadix very slender, filiform, sessile, yellowish, 6 cm long, scarcely 3 mm diam.; Tepals 3 times wider than long, about 1.3 mm wide, very short; Stamens short, broad; Ovary depressed.
