SUMMARY
Terrestrial Herb. STEMS with internodes 0.15-0.8 cm long.; cataphylls rose to vinaceous, castaneous and intact at apex, brownish and intact towards the base of the stem, 2.2--4.4 cm long; prophylls intact, castaneous at apex, brownish and intact towards the base of the stem, 1-3 cm long; sheath of petiole 0.7-2 cm long. LEAVES with petioles greenish, sulcate with subcarinate margins adaxially, obtuse abaxially, 6.9-26.4 x 0.21-0.27 cm; geniculum moderately 0.6-l.5 cm long; blades membranaceous to lightly chartaceous, adaxial surface considerably bullate, deflexed, ovate-elliptical to ovate-lanceolate, apex acute to acute-acuminate, shortly apiculate, base cordate, sinus sub-spathulate to triangular, posterior lobes rounded, 14.6- 22.4 x 5.1-14 cm; midrib acute adaxially, acute-carinate abaxially; central vein. acute adaxially, acute-carinate abaxially; basal veins 1-3, the most external disappearing at the margin of the base of the posterior lobes, the median ending at the margin of the basal third of the blade and the innermost ending at the margin in the middle of the foliar blade; primary lateral veins 3-10 on both surfaces, strongly impressed on adaxial surface and strongly prominent on abaxial surface; collecting veins forming at the base of the foliar blade, not parallel to the margin, 0.45-0.8 cm away from the margin. INFLORESCENCE with peduncle vinaceous and apgled pre-anthesis, greenish after anthesis, 2-50.3 x 0.14-0.2 cm; spathe greenish, navicular, 1.2-4 x 0.4-0.7 cm, lanceolate, linear-lanceolate, subovate, forming a right angle with the peduncle; spadix stipitate, reddish, castaneous, 1.5-6.1 cm long, stipe 0.7-3.7 cm long; flowers 4-6 in primary spiral and three in secondary, tepals cucullate, anterior and posterior ones strongly concave ventrally, subcarinate dorsally, lateral ones lightly concave ventrally and subcarinate dorsally, 0.08-0.12 x 0.08-0.11 cm, androecium with stamens opposite the posterior and anterior tepals with thickened filaments, convex ventrally, stamens opposite the lateral tepals with thin filaments, 0.09-0.12 x 0.05-0.07 cm, anthers oblique, gynoecium oblong, sessile with stigma lightly obtuse, not prominent, 0.1 x 0.09 cm, ovary bilocular, 1 ovule per locule with subapical placentation, covered by sticky hyaline substance; fruits not observed.
