SUMMARY
Herbaceous terrestrial. STEM erect; internodes 0.5-0.95 cm long; cataphylls castaneous, lightly decomposed at apex, castaneous and slightly decomposed towards the base of the stem, 3.6-4.2 cm long; prophylls castaneous, lightly decomposed at apex, castaneous and slightly decomposed towards the base of the stem, 2-2.3 cm long; sheaths 1.2-1.5 cm long. LEAVES with petiole greenish, cylindrical being lightly flattened at the apical extremity, 17.7-28 X 0.15-0.3 cm; geniculum vinaceous on young leaf, concolorous to lightly clearer and thicker than petiole, flattened adaxially with subacute margins, 1.6-2 cm long; blades lightly chartaceous, deflexed, greenish lightly discolorous, sagittate, apex rostrate, shortly apiculate, base cordate, sinus parabolic, 13.7-19.85 x 5.85-11 cm at the point of junction of the petiole with the base of the foliar blade; midrib acute on both surfaces; basal veins 2, the most external ending in the lowermost part of the blade, the innermost ending at the margin in the basal 1/4-1/3 of the blade, lobes rounded and directed outwards; primary lateral veins weakly impressed adaxially, weakly prominent abaxially, 5 on both sides; collecting veins starting from the base of blade, 0.45-0.7 cm away from the margin. INFLORESCENCE with peduncle cylindrical, greenish, lightly vinaceous to greenish, 21.05-24.1 x 0.2 cm; spathe membranaceous, perpendicular, subdeflexed, rolled down, lanceolate, greenish with a vinaceous base, persistent, forming an obtuse to almost right angle with the peduncle, 2.9 x 0.55 cm; spadix rose, greenish-rose to greenish-stramineous after anthesis, funneled, stipitate, 3.2-4.5 x 0.3-0.35 cm, stipe vinaceous to greenish, 0.3-0.8 cm long; flowers in primaly spiral 4-5, in secondary spiral 3, tepa Is vinaceous, yellowish-vinaceous to stramineous at start of fructification (with castaneous stamens), cucullate, lightly rugose, externally acute, internally convex, 0.11 x 0.1-0.15 cm, androecium with stamens opposite the anterior and posterior tepals with thickened filaments, convex ventrally and concave dorsally, stamens opposite to the lateral tepals with thin filaments of parallel margins, 0.15 x 0.08-0.1 cm; gynoecium with ovary oblong, sessile, with a prominent vinaceous stigma, with punctuations concentrated at apex, bilocular, 1 ovule per locule, enveloped by a sticky hyaline mucilage, placentation apical, 0.15 x 0.11 cm; berries immature, greenish-vinaceous to vinaceous.
