SUMMARY
Stem shortened. LEAVES: Petiole terete, elongate, equalling or overtopping blade, 4-6 dm [40 - 60 cm] long; geniculum 1-1.5 cm long; blades coriaceous, bright green, 3.5-6 dm [35 - 60 cm] long, 1-1.5 dm [10 - 15 cm] wide, oblong-lanceolate, rounded at the base, rarely narrowed, acuminate at the apex or abruptly apiculate; midrib prominent on both sides and convex; primary lateral veins many pairs, scarcely slightly raised, joined in a collective vein along the margin (1/5 of way in from the side). INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle terete, overtopping petiole; spathe green, linear-oblong, acuminate, reflexed; spadix 5-6 cm long, stipitate 4-7 cm; stipe slender.
