SUMMARY
Scandent. LEAVES: Petiole longer than blade, about 1.8 dm [18 cm] long, canaliculate above; geniculum about 2 cm long, blades thick, coriaceous, dark glandular-dotted, broadly ovate, subtruncate at the base, obtuse; collective veins rising from the 2 pairs of basal veins, the .lowermost mildly arcuate, merging in the lower 1/4 (literally "fourth part") of the margin, the innermost more robust, ascending and together with primary lateral veins 8 pairs, departing from the midrib, forming a collective vein; primary lateral veins prominent beneath and thinner than the basal veins. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle slender, longer than petiole, 2.5 dm [25 cm] long; spathe linear, 4.5 cm long, 5 mm wide; spadix stipitate 3 mm, 1 dm [10 cm] long, 4 mm diam. at anthesis. INFRUCTESCENCE 1 cm diam.; berries ovoid, 5 mm long, 3 mm thick.
