SUMMARY
LEAVES: Petiole somewhat robust, 70 - 80 cm long, rather deeply sulcate, especially towards the base, on the adaxial surface, at the base ca. 1 cm thick, attenuate upwards. Leaf blade large, thinly coriaceous, hastate-trilobed, ca. 50 cm long and almost equally wide, posterior lobes patent, sub-reniform, somewhat recurved, oblique, wider on the exterior side, 25 cm long, up to 15 cm wide, anterior lobe narrowly lanceolate with a narrow acute acumen ca. 2.5 cm long, 12 - 14 cm wide at the base, narrowed upwards, basal ribs spreading at nearly a right angle and long denuded in the sinus, secondary lateral veins 18 - 20 arising from the midrib, ascending arcuately towards the margin, ca. 5 - 6 secondary lateral veins arising from each basal rib, all prominulent or a little insculpted on the adaxial side and abaxially distinctly prominent, finally joining into a collective vein very close to the margin. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle subterete, slender, 50 - 55 cm long, at the base nearly 1 cm thick, attenuate upwards. Spathe weakly green or dark brown when dried , oblong, acuminate at the apex, 14 cm long, up to 3 cm wide. Spadix intensely carmine or brownish when dried, with a short, 5 - 6 mm long, oblique stipe, narrowly cylindric, often gently curved, rounded-obtuse at the very tip, 17 cm long, barely 1 cm thick. Tepals 2 - 2.5 mm long. Stamen filaments linear. Pistils ovoid-oblong, ca. 2 mm long, crowned with a slightly elevated stigma.
