SUMMARY
Stem small ["caudiculus"], abbreviated, 5 - 7 mm thick. Cataphylls ovate-lanceolate, long-acute, 4 - 5 cm long. LEAVES: Petiole longer than blade at the base shortly and narrowly sheathed, 22 - 26 cm long, geniculum ca. 1 cm long. Leaf blade becoming reflexed or patent at almost right angles to the petiole, rigid, coriaceous, ovate, narrowed towards the apex, finally becoming subcuspidiform-acuminate, at the base gently and cordately emarginate, with rounded basal lobes, 16 - 18 cm long, 10 - 12.5 cm wide, primary lateral veins 8 - 10 a little impressed adaxially, distinctly prominent abaxially, joined into a collective vein 1 - 1.5 cm from the margin and beyond that with a second marginal collective vein. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle slender, ca. 35 cm long. Spathe linear-lanceolate, acute, 5 - 6 cm long, up to 6 mm wide. Spadix with a slender stipe 2 - 4 cm long, narrowly cylindric, attenuate towards the apex, ca. 4 cm long, 3 - 4 mm thick basally. Tepals obtuse.
