SUMMARY
Stem scandent, 2-3 cm diam.; internodes 1-2 cm long; cataphylls to 2 dm [20 cm] long. LEAVES: Petiole about 5 dm [50 cm] long; blades about 4-6 dm [40 - 60 cm] long and 2.4-3.6 dm [24 - 36 cm] wide, subcoriaceous, hastate-sagittate; anterior lobe acuminate, narrowed upward from the base introrsely in a broad, arcuate line; posterior lobes about 1-1.5 dm [10 - 15 cm] long, 1.2-1.8 dm [12 - 18 cm] wide, trending toward the apical part introrsely; sinus parabolic; primary lateral costal veins about 6 pairs, slender, about 1.5-2 cm apart; joined in a collective vein decidedly close to the margin, the second basal vein spreading at about a 90 degree angle turned upward near the margin and the remaining veins of the posterior lobes about 6, joined into posterior ribs at a right angle, standing apart, largely naked 3-4 dm along the sinus. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle 2 dm [20 cm] long; spathe 7-12 cm long, 2.5 cm wide, broadly lanceolate, acuminate; spadix 8 mm diam., not unfolded [or not developed], stipitate 1.2-1.5 cm; tepals 11/2 times longer than wide; pistil oblong-conoid.
