Anthurium lechlerianum (Araceae)
LEAVES: Petiole 30 - 40 cm long, with geniculum 1.5 cm long. Leaf blade ca. 30 cm long, hastate-sagittate, somewhat contracted above the lobes, somewhat narrowed towards the apex, at the exptreme apex abruptly rounded-obtuse, retuse, minutely apiculate, posterior lobes elongate-oblong, subequal, rounded at the tips, separated by an open to very open sinus which is obtuse at its apex, 13 cm long, 6 - 7 cm wide, anterior lobe 15 cm wide basally, 7 - 8 cm wide further up, 6 lateral veins arising from the base, the interlobe and nearest veins free, the remainder long-connate, costal veins [primary lateral veins of the midrib] ca. 8; collective vein arising from the interlobe vein and rather distant from the margin. INFLORESCENCE: Spathe sublinear-lanceolate, apex obtuse, apiculate, somewhat long-decurrent at the base, 5 - 6 cm long, 2 cm wide below. Spadix 10 cm long, 1.5 cm thick in fruit, narrowly fusiform, with a long stipe. Berries ovoid, apiculate. Seed ovoid.
