Amorphophallus echinatus
Tuber depressed globose, 6 cm high, 14 cm in diam., brown. Leaf unknown. Cataphylls several, 2–7 cm long, membranaceous, brown; peduncle ca 30 × 1.5 cm, dark bluish green with elongate white spots placed longitudinally; spathe ca 17 × 6–7 cm, more or less as long as spadix, rugose within at the base, pale flesh-coloured with purple veins, exterior pale purplish grey with green spots in the lower part, the whole spathe covered with pale spots; spadix 15 –17 × 2–3 cm; pistillate flower zone ca 4.5 × 2 cm; ovaries 2.5–3 mm long, greyish purple; style ca 1 × 0.7–0.8 mm, stigma usually trilobed, ca 1.5 mm; staminate flower zone ca 5 cm long, flowers densely congested; stamens "purplish yellow"; thecae about 1 mm broad, opening apically by oblique slits; appendix ca 5 cm, aculeate, pale purple, projections of appendix sharply pointed, 1.5–2 mm long, with swollen bases, more prominent and narrower in lower part of appendix. Fruit not known.
