SUMMARY
Tuber [com] pressed to globose, 5.5-2.5 cm. LEAF distinctly above ground during flowering, but the blade not yet expanded. Petiole at least 7-8 cm long, ca. 1 cm in diameter. Blade 40 cm in diameter, terminal leaflets elongate to lanceolate, 10-15 x 1-2 cm, gradually narrowing into a point. Cataphylls 2, membranous, elongate to broadly elliptic ('oval') , 7-10 x 3 cm, light, brown red, the inner one longer than the peduncle. INFLORESCENCE12-13 cm high, blossoming shortly before the expansion of the leaf blade. Peduncle 5-7 cm long, 0.5-1 cm in diameter. Spathe ca. 5 cm high, arranged into a [com]pressed globose tube and an open limb by a clear constriction. Tube 3 x 4-6 cm, slightly [com]pressed to globose and somewhat asymmetric; inside basally smooth, with slightly raised veins. Open limb 3-4 cm wide, sticking out horizontally, round and irregularly incised by up to 1 cm. Spadix sessile, 5.5 cm long, erect. Pistillate zone cylindrical, 1-1.5 x 0.8-1.2 cm, flowers partly congested. Staminate zone cylindrical to ovoid ('oval'), 2-2.6 x 1-1.8 cm, flowers congested, exserted beyond the constriction of the spathe. Appendix 2.5-3 x 1-1.5 cm long, cylindrical, appendix abnormal (?), basally somewhat constricted. Staminodes absent; sterile zone between pistillate and staminate zone absent; ratio of pistillate to staminate zone 0.5 : 1. Pistillate flowers 1.5-2.2 mm long, ovary 1-1.7 x 1-1.5 mm, globose to ovoid ('oval'), uni(-bi)locular; stigma sessile, unlobed or rarely with 2 conical lobes, flattened to circular from the side, circular from above, 1 x 1.5 mm. Staminate flowers 2-4 stamens forming one flower; anthers cubical, free, 1 x 1 mm; pores apical, circular to broadly elliptic ('oval') , one pore per thecae visible, thecae cylindrical; connective with slit-shaped channel; filaments short 0.1-0.5 mm long, free. Pollen inaperturat, exine verrucate. INFRUCTESCENCE unknown. Smell unknown.
