Amorphophallus saraburensis
Tuber elongate, 3–20 × 1–8 cm, not branching. Leaf solitary; petiole smooth, 55–70 × 1–2 cm, green with reddish purple spots and streaks or background pale grey, mostly covered by large, rounded, confluent, dark steel-green spots or with dark brown spots; leaf blade highly dissected, 40–150 cm, rachises very narrowly winged almost throughout; leaflets small, elliptic-lanceolate or elliptic, 3–11 × 1.2–4.5 cm, acuminate. Inflorescence long pedunculate; peduncle appearance as petiole, 27–110 cm × 5–10 mm; spathe erect, triangular-ovate or elongate-triangular, 15–20 × 9–11 cm, apex broadly acute and slightly recurved at or shortly after anthesis, base convolute, exterior base pale grey with large, rounded, scattered or partly confluent, blackish green or greyish black spots, interior base lowest part dark purple, rest pale green or dark greyish with a brownish apex, limb exterior as base or the larger part of the background covered with numerous blackish spots, forming entire confluent areas, limb interior dull dark brownish purple, base within densely clothed with slender, elongate, or thick shortly elongate, fleshy warts; spadix shortly stipitate or sessile, slightly or distinctly longer than spathe, 12–29 cm long; pistillate flower zone cylindrical, 2–4 cm × 8–16 mm, flowers congested or slightly distant; ovaries depressed, diamond-shaped or oval in cross-section, 2–4 × 1 mm, pale green; style cylindrical, 1–2 × 1 mm, purple; stigma shallowly or deeply 2- or 3-lobed, notched between the lobes, stylar tissue protruding beyond the margin at the notches, oval or rounded in cross-section, 1.5–2 × 1 mm, surface rugulose or scabrate, dirty pale yellowish brown, off-white or pale grey, lobes rounded, conical or flattened; sterile interstice cylindrical, 4–15 × 7–10 mm, staminodes congested; staminodes flattened, irregular, diamond-shaped in cross-section, 3–4 × 1–1.5 mm, surface rugulose, dirty pale yellowish brown or grey; staminate flower zone cylindrical or slightly obconical, 6–16 × 3.5–5 cm, flowers congested; staminate flowers 3–5-androus; anthers 1 × 1–1.5 mm, truncate, dirty brownish purple; appendix narrowly elongate conical, obtuse, densely grooved/corrugate, 7–22 cm × 9–16 mm, dirty creamy, dirty dark brownish or dark grey. Fruit not seen.
Central Thailand: Saraburi. Endemic.
