Amorphophallus saururus
Tuber shortly elongate, ca.10 × 2.5 cm, often irregularly branched when mature. Leaf solitary; petiole smooth, 13–50 cm × 5–15 mm, uniformly green, yellowish, or reddish brown; leaf blade moderately or highly dissected, 16–90 cm diam.; leaflets obovate to broadly elliptic, 2–15 × 1–6 cm, acute-acuminate, base decurrent, adaxially very dark green to blackish green, margin bright pink, main vein pale yellowish, abaxially greyish green with dark green venation. Inflorescence solitary, long pedunculate; peduncle appearance as petiole, 3–40 cm × 4–12 mm; spathe erect, rather concave, 4–10.5 × 2–7 cm, base convolute, limb constricted at the base, margins involute, apex hooded, acute, exterior base pale green with thin brown veins, limb off-white, veins paler towards the apex, margin with a faint pinkish hue, interior similar, base within sparingly or densely clothed with fleshy, inconspicuous or shortly elongate warts with thickened and irregularly scabrate apical parts; spadix sessile longer to much longer than spathe, 8–20 cm long; pistillate flower zone cylindrical, 3–10 × 6–11 mm, flowers congested or distant; ovaries depressed, rhombic or rounded in cross-section, 3 × 2 mm high, pale greyish brown; style pale greyish brown with a few pinkish longitudinal stripes, 3–4 × ca 0.8 mm, slightly obconical, mostly parallel to the spadix-axis but the apex curved outward towards the spathe; stigma depressed, 0.7–1.5 × ca 0.5 mm high, with a shallow, radiating central depression, shallowly 5– or 6-lobed, occasionally nearly entire, dirty yellowish white, surface minutely scabrate; staminate flower zone elongate conical, 2–7 cm × 4–14 mm, flowers congested; staminate flowers 2–4-androus, white or yellowish, pale brownish around the pores and in the groove; appendix myosuroid, 4–12 cm × 3–10 mm, erect, sigmoid, acute, slightly narrowed to the base, with irregular, shallow depressions. Fruit lageniform, to 1 cm × 5 mm, ripening white.
