SUMMARY
Stem erect, 2-2.5 cm diam.; internodes barely 1-1.5 cm long; cataphylls coriaceous, persisting a long time, elongate-lanceolate, 1.8-2 dm [18 - 20 cm] long. LEAVES: Petiole somewhat semi-cylindrical, 7-8 dm [70 - 80 cm] long, broadly sulcate; geniculum 2-2.5 cm long, thickened; blades parchment-like, somewhat concolorous, glossy, about 3 times longer than wide, 6-8 dm [60 - 80 cm] long, 2-2.5 dm [20 - 25 cm] wide, ovate at the base, deeply cordate, continuous in a convex line to apex, cuspidate at apex; posterior lobes 1/4 as long as anterior lobe, obtuse, retrorse, convergent, overlapping; sinus narrow, acute-angled; primary lateral veins of the posterior lobes 6-7, joined into briefly naked ribs, 4 retrorse, the remaining spreading at about a 90 degree angle, together with interlobar and 12-14 pairs primary lateral veins, spreading at about a 45 degree angle, joined into a collective vein barely 1.5-3 mm from the margin. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle longer than petiole, more slender, subcylindrical; spathe attached obliquely, thickly herbaceous, lanceolate, subulate-cuspidate at the apex, green, about 1.5 dm [15 cm] long, half as long as spadix; spadix stipitate, dark green, flexible, pendulous, about 1.5 dm [15 cm] long, 12 mm diam., stipe adaxially adnate to the spathe about 15 mm; tepals not much longer than wide; filaments broadly linear. INFRUCTESCENCE: Berry almost ovoid, protruding, green-yellowish.
