Terrestrial herb. Stem unknown. Leaves spreading; petioles 21-46.5 cm long, .4-.7 cm diam., geniculum clearly thicker than the petiole, 1.0-1.5 cm long; sheath 1.4-3 cm long; leaf blade chartaceous to subcoriaceous, ovate, acuminate, cordate at base, 27-38 cm long, 13.5-19 cm wide, broadest below middle; upper and lower surface matte; both surfaces drying brown to pale brown, pale glandular punctation; midrib weakly raised above and below; venation weakly prominent in both sides in dried leaves, primary lateral veins 13-16, primary veins slightly more prominent than interprimary veins, departing midrib at 55-60° angle, arcuate or running more or less straight, slightly prominent on upper surface, slightly raised below; tertiary veins prominulous in both surfaces in dried leaves, reticulate veins almost invisible; collective vein 8-15 mm from leaf margin. Inflorescences longer than the leaves; peduncle 40-48 cm long, .5-.7 cm diam., 21/40 46.4/48 times longer than the petioles; spathe not erect, reflexed, chartaceous, lanceolate, color unknown, 7-9.5 long, 1.1-1.5 cm wide, broadest slightly above the base, sometimes almost at middle, inserted at 45° angle on the peduncle, long acuminate at apex, obtuse at base; spadix erect, stipitate for no more than 1 mm, tapered, 8.5-10 cm long, 6-7 mm diam at base, 3-4 mm diam. at apex, broadest near base; flowers rhomboidal to rounded, 1.5-2 mm long, 1.5-1.8 mm wide; 7-8 flowers visible in principal spiral, 6-7 flowers visible in alternate spiral; tepals matte; lateral tepals .3-.5 mm wide, inner margins straight, the outer margins 2-sided; pistils slightly emergent; stigma rounded; stamens not covering the stigma; filaments not exerted; anthers .5-.6 x .5-.1 mm, thecae ovoid, .5-.6 x .3-.5 mm Infructescence unknown.
