Typhonium ramosum
Rhizome tuberous, small, 0.7-1 cm in diam., 1.5-4 cm long, offsetting freely, offsets short rhizomatous. Petiole 2-4 cm long, 1 mm in diam., whitish green; lamina entire, elliptic to obovate, 3-5 cm long, 2-3 cm in diam., base cuneate, top broadly acute or obtuse and apiculate, upper surface mid green, sometimes a little glaucous, lower surface pale green. Inflorescence appearing after the leaves; peduncle hidden in the soil, 1 cm long, 2 mm in diam., white, smooth; spathe 3.5 cm long, base and limb separated by a constriction, base narrowly ovate, 13 mm long, 8 mm in diam., slightly tapering to the top, outside off-white, inside white with a very faint pinkish flush at the base, limb elliptical, 2.2 cm long, 1.4 cm in diam., outside pale green, inside whitish green, slightly translucent, top acute. Spadix shorter than spathe, 2.5 cm long; female zone broadly conical, 2 mm long, 3.5 mm in diam. at the base, 1.5 mm in diam., at the top, pistils semi-erect; sterile zone 0.9 cm long, lower 4 mm carrying staminodes; male zone short cylindric, 2.5 mm long, 2 mm in diam., flowers congested; appendix stipitate (stipe slender, 3 mm long), conical, 7 mm long, 2 mm in diam. at the base, base truncate, top subacute, blackish purple, surface irregularly shallowly verrucate. Ovary elongate obovate, 1.5 mm long, 0.8 mm in diam. at the top, white, one basal ovule; style absent; stigma slightly sunken in ovary top, orbicular or irregular, 0.2 mm in diam., 0.2 mm high, pale brown, surface minutely echinate. Stamens dark purple, pores apical, pollen pink. Staminodes simple or branched, rod-shaped, branches also rod-shaped, 1-3 mm long, 0.5-0.7 mm indiam.,terete, toptruncate,pink with dirty yellow top, surface minutely verruculose.
Not exactly known, as the species is only known from the type collection.
