SUMMARY
Stem scandent high; cataphylls 1.5 dm [15 cm] long, 3 cm wide at the base. LEAVES: Petiole more than 2.5-3 dm [25 - 30 cm] long, thick; blades cordate-elongate-deltoid, 2.5 dm [25 cm] long, 1.25 dm [12.5 cm] wide, narrowed toward the apex in a line curved somewhat inward or straight and very gradually terminated in a cusp, [the cusp] 1.5 cm long, lanceolate; auricles retrorse, oblique-semioblong, rounded introrsely; sinus somewhat parabolic; basal veins about 7 pairs, joined into posterior ribs naked in the sinus; primary lateral veins about 8, joined into a collective vein near the margin, [the collective vein] extended from the interlobar veins, continuous. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle a little shorter than petiole; spathe linear-lanceolate, slightly long-apiculate, 6 cm long, 1.5 cm wide; spadix terete-conoid, 6 cm long, 5-6 mm diam. at the base, stipitate 1.5-2 cm, the stipe almost 1/5 as long as spadix, partly adnate to the spathe; tepals little longer than wide; ovary ovoid, attenuate+ into the style [the style] mildly thickened above [near the apex?]. INFRUCTESCENCE: Berries ovoid.
