SUMMARY
LEAVES: Petiole robust, erect, almost as long as the blade, adaxially fairly deeply canaliculated, sheathed at the base, a little compressed laterally, with 2 cm long geniculum, 35 cm long, ca. 1 - 1.2 cm thick at the base, attenuated upwards. Leaf blade thickly coriaceous, deeply green, glossy adaxially, ovate-oblong, broadly truncate at the base, narrowed upwards, rounded-obtuse at the very tip, 40 cm long, up to 17 cm wide, midrib robust especially abaxially, towards the base strongly prominent and angled, primary lateral veins on each side three arising from the base, curving upwards, the outermost 2 running into the margin about halfway up the blade, all veins a little impressed adaxially and distinctly prominent abaxially. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle slender, 50 - 55 cm long, 6 - 8 mm thik at the base, more slender upwards. Spathe weakly green, a little thickened, subcoriaceous, narrowly lanceolate, acuminate at the apex, ca. 10 cm long, 2 cm wide. Spadix shortly and obliquely stipitate, slender, weakly olive green, or brown when dried, narrowly cylindric, obtuse at the apex, 8 cm long, 6 - 8 mm thick. Tepals oblong, ca. 2 mm long. Pistils ovoid-oblong, crowned with a small subsessile stigma.
