SUMMARY
Stem scandent up to 50 cm tall, 3 - 4 cm thick, internodes ca. 7 - 8 cm long. Cataphylls 15 - 20 cm long, long-lanceolate, eventually decomposing, fibrous. LEAVES: Petiole ca. 50 cm long, geniculum 15 cm long. Blade ca. 40 cm long, 20 cm wide, coriaceous, dark green, rather glossy above, oblong sagittate; posterior lobes ca. 11 - 12 cm long, 7 - 8 cm wide, separated by a broad, parabolic sinus, introrse distally; anterior lobe oblong-triangular, acute, primary lateral veins 9 - 10 on each side, arcuately patent, ca. 2 - 4 cm distant from one another, forming a collective vein 2 - 5 mm distant from margin which includes the most basal vein, primary lateral veins of the posterior lobes 5 - 6 [on each side], joined into basal ribs long-denuded for 4 -5 cm in the sinus. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle 15 - 20 cm long. Spathe more than 10 cm long, ca. 2 - 2.5 cm wide, lanceolate, long-acuminate. Spadix with a 1.5 cm long stipe, 11 cm long, 6 mm thick, slender-cylindric. Tepals on the juvenile spadix barely 2 mm long, 1.5 mm wide. Stamens broadly linear. Ovary oblong-conoid, tapering into the thick style, style 2mm long.
